Our stunning raffia bag is made ethically and sustainably in Madagascar and has been hand-woven by artisans the traditional way using methods handed down between generations.

Raffia is a classic material that has been used to make accessories for centuries because of its long lasting and authentic qualities.

Our signature bag is perfect for your pool, beach, and market days and will add a look of relaxed sophistication to your wardrobe.

  • Spot clean using a soft cloth, cold water and if necessary a natural detergent.
  • Allow to naturally dry.
  • Raffia has a natural resistance to water, but the fibre itself is not considered waterproof. If soaked, it has the potential to lose a considerable amount of body.
  • Please care for your Madre Terra Raffia Bag to ensure its longevity.
  • Consistent exposure to direct sunlight will naturally and subtly change the shade of the natural raffia.

Absolutely love this bag!
Perfect for the beach. Holds so much - large towel, drink bottle, hat, sunscreen, coverup, snacks and still room left over! Beautifully made too and the sand slips right on through. Thankyou so much for the extra gift. So kind and thoughtful and I have already used it inside my beach bag 😊.
